Micaela now has an imaginary friend. Her name is Dara. Which may sound familiar because it is only one letter off from every preschoolers favorite little espanol speaking buddy. Not sure if Dara also speaks Spanish. However, she is an amazing play date. Her favorite game is puppies, where Micaela will be Perdy and Dara will be Pongo. Yes my daughter plays imaginary games with her imaginary friend. Dara also has her own opinions. For example, Dara always wants to go to the playground or McDonalds. Sometimes Dara even says its alright to do things mama says no to. Today Micaela informed me that Dara was waiting at home, and when we opened the door she ran up and hugged Dara. She also told her that she missed her. Hmmm....I'm interested to see what Freud would say about my daughter's psychological need to invent an imaginary friend.
