As I was getting into my car, sans coat of course, I realized there was a snowstorm brewing. As I was driving to work I realized that I could barely see the road in front of me. When I pulled into the agency parking lot I slid right to my "spot" in a few inches of snow. I walked to the office and knew it was going to be a depressing day. I HATE SNOW!! I hate driving in it and I hate feeling cold. I will tolerate snow before Christmas because it can be counted as "festive" and contribute towards the ambience of the holidays. Ambience is very important to me. However, we are two days away from March and I have new spring clothes to wear. I did not want it to snow. Our afternoon groups and appointments were cancelled due to the weather and I left work early.

When I got home Micaela had just woken up from her nap, rosy cheeked and smiling, and Caleb suggested we put her snowsuit on and play outside. It's amazing how a cute kid in cute clothes having the time of her life in the snow can turn my day around.

(insert cute picture of mom and Micaela in snow clothes...sorry the computer is not downloading my pictures. I'll post said pictures when we fix it!)

About 11:00 last night, Caleb and I had just finished watching "V for Vendetta" (Good, by the way,) I was walking around our room in the dark. All of a sudden I felt the most horrible pain in my foot and I screamed. There was something in my foot. Caleb came running upstairs, turned on the light, and we could see that the hook on his belt buckle was all the way stuck in my foot. Caleb was more freaked out than I was, trying to find something we could put on it to numb the pain, as we had to pull it out. Finally he grabbed me a washcloth that I could bite down on, and I pulled it out. I immediately felt much better when it was out. The bleeding wasn't too bad, but Caleb called the hospital, who "couldn't dispense medical information over the phone," so I called my dad, because at one time, probably when he was about my age, he was thinking about becoming a doctor instead of a lawyer, so he can obviously give medical advice. He gave me some useful tips and told me what to expect, and the best part about this is...I don't have to go to work today! I have never called in to work sick. There have been days I have asked for off for various reasons, but I have never called and said "I can't come in today." I work when I'm sick. Which is kind of sick if you think that I'm serving food while sick, but I just can't call in. It's actually somewhat fortunate. It doesn't hurt too badly right now, and if I don't walk on it I'm fine. So not only do I have an excuse to miss work, I have to sit or lay down all day! I am beside myself. I should stab myself with sharp objects more often.

This hook was in my foot

I have a problem. One of those problems that appears to grow larger and larger the more I think about it, similar to the mess of dirty clothes in my closet. I am constantly closing the closet door to avoid the mess, and yet it is still there every day. I procrastinate doing laundry, and I continue to wear clothes every day, and they just add to mess on the floor. Just like the longer I think about this problem the more it adds to my anxiety.
I hesitate to mention the specifics of this problem or the friend who it involves, so I will continue to speak in annoying metaphors. Lets say I have a good friend. She's amazing. I know something that will greatly impact her life, but will also crush her emotionally. Should I tell her? Readers what do you think? Would you want to know something bad about yourself, or would you rather remain ignorant? Is ignorance bliss? This sounds frighteningly similar to The Matrix...

This Valentine's Day was similar to most. I worked during the day and Caleb worked during the night, and we saw each other about 20 minutes throughout the day. However, we are "celebrating" tomorrow... with dinner and a movie, knowing our tastes something probably something dark and twisty.

On a completely separate note, on our girls weekend we made a stop at the local Victoria's Secret to buy some bridal gifts for my bride-to-be friends and some Vday gifts. Here's a quick look at what we got. Amy wouldn't let me show any of the "goods," and my mother would be mortified if I did, but aren't the boxes pretty?

P.S. For more RITL weekend photos check out the girls' blogs....there's tons!

For those of you who don't know I went on vacation. It was a complete girls weekend and it was fabulous. We did so many things and took so many pictures (isn't that right Bre?) that I'm not sure I can fit them all into this blog, so this may be part I. The worst part about vacation is coming home and being thrown back into the daily working/school cycle, and I assume it's the same for the rest of the girls, so I decided to write some memorable quotes for you guys to help make us laugh. Feel free to add some through comments!

1. (Bre) "You guys aren't my friends. You're just not my friends." Referring to the fact we're her sisters, but still sounded funny!

2. (Amy) "It's see through!"

3. (Amy, Meagan, Bre) "Michele can't be in the middle!"

4. (Bre) "I am not taking another picture"

5. (Bre) Any comment related to having a big butt...obviously untrue!!

6. (Nate) "Look thin girls" When taking one of our million pictures

7. (Michele, Amy, Bre, Meagan) "Let's all agree not to look cute today"

8. (Michele, Amy, Meagan) "My feet hurt" From wearing shoes that were cute. I even got a blister and Meagan touched it

9. (Michele) "Who has the green tooth brush?"

10. (Bre) "I love you so much I would let you wear my underwear...or better yet my shoes."

11. (Meagan) "Can I borrow a QTip?" I was waiting for her to ask to borrow toilet paper

12. (Nate) "But I like Adam"

13. (Bre) Honestly still thinks that Sean Connery is the best looking male celebrity

14. (Nate) "Is this cookie dough in the carpet?"

15. (Michele and Bre) "Amy is contagious"

16. (Michele, Meagan, Amy) "It's really humid"

17. (Meagan) "Are you awake too?"

18. (Michele) "Amy that must have been before you got here.."

This was taken our first night in California. We did pedicures, shopping, lunch and dinner at Amy's favorite restaurant, Red Robin, a California original:) We may have engaged in non-stop talking too...

Micaela is her mother's daughter. She got oodles of toys and clothes for her birthday, and of course I took pictures. I debated whether pictures of Micaela's birthday loot would really interest you all, but I concluded that I am interested in much less. So here they are...

Every girl deserves a cute pair of shoes

Her new wardrobe

She really ate that entire piece

The girls...we all have dark hair now:)

Micalea trying out the new tricycle that Justin and Stephanie got her

Katy gave her this somewhat ugly stuffed animal named Booger, yes she named Micaela's present

We spent four different days celebrating her birthday with different family and friends. Kids birthdays are a lot of work! Thanks for all the cute gifts!
